FV4101 Charioteer Mk VIIB British Tank

The Charioteer was a continuation of the development of the Cromwell with a more powerful gun fitted in a relatively light armoured turret. The Charioteer was armed with an Ordanace QF 20 Pounder gun (84mm) similar to the Centurion Mk3 and a co-axial 0.30 M1919 Browning Machine Gun.

The hull was based on the Cromwell Mk VII standard with Comet Model B exhausts. The hull machine gunners position was removed to provide additional ammunition stowage but this was still limited to 25 rounds.
