Scammell Pioneer TRMU30 Tank Transporter With Crusader Mk I/II
The Scammell Pioneer R100 was a British heavy truck used as an artillery tractor and as the basis for a tank transporter. It had a longer wheelbase and extended cab to carry the tank crew as well as larger rear wheels.
Developed from the Covenanter, The Crusader saw service between 1941 and 1943 mostly in the North African campaign. The Mk II had improved frontal hull and turret armour. Like the Mk I, it was armed with a 2 pounder and an auxilliary front machine gun turret.
