Semovente M41M da 90/53 Self Propelled Gun
The Semovente da 90/53 was an Italian self propelled gun based on an extended M14/41 chassis mounting the Cannone da 90/53 anti aircraft gun. The gun was mounted to the rear of the vehicle in an open backed turret which left the crew exposed to shrapnel and small arms fire. The Semovente da 90/53 carried only 8 rounds of ammunition so L6/40 tanks were converted as ammunition carriers to supply them.
Only 30 were produced due to the high demand for the Cannone da 90/53 as an AA gun.
