Carro Armata M13/40 (Late Production)
The M13/40 entered service in 1940. It was the first Italian tank with a turret housing a 47mm gun - the Cannone da 47/32 M35 gun - although it was soon proven to be insufficient against the Allied armour.
M13/40 served in Greece and in North Africa although by 1942 they were deployed alongside Semovente 75/18 self propelled guns to provide greater firepower.
