Centurion Sho't Kal Gimel/Dalet
The Sho't Kal Gimel and Sho't Kal Dalet were Israeli designations for the 105mm L7 armed Centurion with Sho't meaning "Whip" and Kal an abbreviation for Continental referring to the Continental AVDS-1790-2A diesel engine. These variants were identifiable from the raised engine deck. They entered service in 1970 and served during the 1973 Yom Kippur war as well as the 1978 and 1982 invasion of Lebanon.
