155mm Heavy Howitzer M1917 A4
Based on the Schneider's 152mm Howitzer, the Canon de 155mm C was produced from 1915. The Modele 1917 was fitted with a different breech which used bagged propellant instead of cartridge cases. The Canon de 155m had a rate of fire of 3 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity of 450 metres per second. It was capable of firing a 96lb shell up to 11,300 metres (12,400yds). This kit depicts a 155mm M1917 fitted with metal wheels and pneumatic tyres designed to be towed by vehicles instead of horses.
