T35 Gun Motor Carriage

The T35 was an early prototype design that ultimately led to ther M10 Tank Destroyer. With the development of the 3" M7 anti tank gun it was fitted to an M4 Sherman but this was unsuccessful due to a lack of space. Instead, the T35 utilised a modified M4A2 hull with a newly designed, open topped circular turret mounting the 3" M7 anti tank gun. Armour was reduced and both the coaxial and hull mounted machine guns were removed to save weight. One prototype vehicle was built.
