A stunning example of a Cromwell Mk IV used by the British armoured divisions in North West Europe in 1944 and 1945. It was designed to be fitted with a high velocity QF 6 pounder anti tank gun but this was replaced by the dual purpose 75mm which fired more effective HE. Ultimately the QF 75mm was developed as a 6 Pounder that fired US 75mm ammunition. Mk IV Cromwells were fitted with this from November 1943.
