A-34 Comet Mk IB Cruiser Tank

A stunning example of an A34 Comet Mk IB which saw service after the end of WWII as well as in Korea. The Comet mounted a 77mm HV which fired the same calibre of shell as the 17 Pounder but a different shell casing which gave a lower muzzle velocity. The Mk IB featured twin fishtail exhaust pipes at the rear removing the need for exhaist cowls. After WWII and the occupation of Germany, Comets also served in Korea alongside the Centurion.
