Armoured Train Type BP-43

Armoured trains "Pravda" and "Krasnaya Zvezda", both named after the newspapers, were built in 1942. "Pravda" consisted of an armoured locomotive OV No 7101 (Type BP-43), two armoured platforms - 754 and 603 and an air defence platform, 777. The armoured platforms 754 and 603 mounted two 76.2mm F-34 guns in T-34 turrets as well as six 7.62mm DT machine guns (3 on each side). The air defence platform 777 had a 37mm anti aircraft gun and a 12.7mm DShK machine gun.
