The M6 Linebacker was a modified M2A2 mounting a four-tube Stinger missile system. Between 2005 and 2006 some M6 were converted to standard M2A2 Bradleys as the threat of hostile aerial threats reduced although in 2017 the US Army was consdering reintroducing air defence Bradleys in response to an increase in hostile aerial threats.
