Matilda Mk II

At the outbreak of WWII only 2 Matilda Mk IIs were in service. However between 1940 and 1943, 2,987 were produced seeing service in both France and North Africa as well as some being sent to aid the Soviet Union which continued in service as late as 1944. Despite its small size, the heavy cast hull and side skirts served to make the tank look far bigger. Armed with the 2 pounder gun and a coaxial BESA, the Matilda was undergunned against the German Panzers.
