Armoured Air Defence Railroad Car With Two 37mm 61-K AA Guns

At the start of WWII Russian armoured trains suffered heavy losses as a result of German air attacks. Responding to this, twin Maxim 7.62mm machine guns were mounted on a tender and used from the start of 1941. However, more effective still was the armoured rail car manufactured between 1943-45 which mounted two 37mm 61-K anti aircraft guns. The platform was manned by 10-12 men. A total of 48 were produced. Following their introduction train losses dropped. The kit includes a section of track.
