Cannone da 149/35

The Cannone da 149/35 gun was introduced in 1900 to replace the Cannone 149/23 and served during both WWI and WWII with the Italian Army. Already outdated when it was introduced, it had no recoil system and could not traverse. The gun would recoil up two ramps after firing and had to be re-laid after each shot. There were still 895 in service in 1940. However, unlike most Italian equipment there is no record of them being used in German service after the Italian surrender in 1943.
