German A7V Sturmpanzer WWI Tank

The A7V was developed by the Germans in November 1916, entered service in January 1918 and first saw action at St Quentin in March 1918. The first tanks had 5.7cm Maxim-Nordenfeldt cannon which was, ironically, produced by the British. Later tanks had six German MG08 heavy machine guns, 2 on each side and at the rear. The A7V weighed 30 tons and had a top speed of 6.5mph with a range of 50miles. The tank usually carried 18 men but as many as 26 could be carried.
