PT-76 Light Amphibious Tank

The PT-76 was a light amphibious tank introduced in the early 1950s which served as the main reconnaissance tank for the Soviet and Warsaw Pact armies. It was also exported to other states such as India, Iraq, North Korea and Vietnam. The PT-76 is armed with a 76.2mm D-56T or D-56B double baffle muzzle brake gun and a 7.62mm PKT coaxial machine gun. The PT-76 weighs only 14.6 tonnes and it's flat, boat shaped hull helps it to stay afloat. It utilises the same engine as the T-54.
