Ho-Ro 150mm Self Propelled Gun

With a design very similar to the German Grille series of self propelled guns, the Ho-Ro was developed from the earlier Ho-Ni which in turn had been born out of the Type 97 Chi-Ha. The Ho-Ro was armed with a Type 91 150mm howitzer but was only armoured at the front and sides with 25mm of armour leaving it vulnerable in combat as well as its slow rate of fire and a very limited traverse. The Ho-Ro fired a 79lb shell up to 6,000 metres although the gun was considered obsolete in 1942.
