The Stuart light tank was officially designated M3. Used extensively by both the US and British Army, the Stuart served in all theatres of WWII from the Pacific to the North African desert to the bocage of Normandy as well as being provided to the Soviet Red Army under the Lend Lease agreement. Fast, lightly armoured and lightly armed the Stuart was best suited for a reconnassaince role and was popular with it's crews. This kit depicts an early version of the M3A1 with no turret cupola.
