Kfz 21 Medium Staff Car

The Kfz 21 was developed in 1934 as part of a program to develop a standardised military passenger vehicle with a standard chassis and interchangeable parts. There were to be three weight classes by different manufacturers. Horch, Wanderer and Opel would be responsible for producing the medium vehicle, Kfz 15. For the high command using the same chassis a cabriolet vehicle, the Kfz 21 was designed. Production ran from 1940 to 1943.
