BT-6 Fast Tank

The BT tanks were lightly armoured but produced in large numbers to provide support for the infantry. The BT-6, developed in 1932, was based on the earlier BT-2 with a number of upgraded features. The twin 7.62mm DT machine guns were replaced with a 20K 45mm anti tank gun as well as some armour and maintenance alterations making the vehicle easier to use. As the prototype was near completion, the project was stopped due to progress on the BT-5.
