Ringtrichter Richtungshörer Horchgerät (RRH)

Acoustic listening devices were still in use in the early years of WWII as a means to locate incoming enemy aircraft. The receiver consisted of two horns attached to a long rod installed on a tripod that can be rotated. Sound tubes were connected so that the user could listen to the sound received. The Ringtrichter Richtungshörer Horchgerät used four funnels to help align with sound sources in both vertical and horizontal planes giving the RRH an effective range of 5 to 12km. Resin kit.
