WWI French Canon de 155 Modele 1917 & Crew

Based on the Schneider's 152mm Howitzer, the Canon de 155mm C was produced from 1915. The gun was towed by a team of 8 horses during WWI. The Canon de 155m had a rate of fire of 3 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity of 450 metres per second. It was capable of firing a 96lb shell up to 11,300 metres (12,400yds). Following the early WWII German victories, many 155mm Schneiders were captured many of which were later installed in 2nd line units and along the Atlantic Wall.
