T-28 Multi Turret Medium Tank (Riveted)

The T-28 served during the Invasion of Poland, The Winter War in Finland and against the Japanese in 1939. Armed with a 76.2mm gun in the main turret and 4 or 5 DT 7.62mm machine guns as secondary armaments, it was designed as an infantry support tank intended to break through fortified defences. T-28 was designed to complement the heavier T-35. By 1941 it was clear that the T-28 was considered ineffective and despite upgrades in armour it was outclassed by the Panzer IV.
