Marmon Herrington Mk II Captured Armoured Car

Developed by the South African army prior to WWII, the Marmon Herrington was based on a Ford 3 ton truck chassis with Marmon Herrington driven front axle. It entered service with the British in 1941. Early verions were armed the same as the Mk I with a single 0.303 Vickers machine gun in a round turret with another mounted in a ball mount on the left side of the hull. Once captured many were converted to mount larger cannons such as the 20mm Breda 35, 3.7cm Pak36 and 2.8cm sPzB41 anti tank guns.
