25mm 72-K Soviet Anti Aircraft Gun (Late Version)

The 72-K Automatic Air Defence Gun M1940 was a Russian towed 25mm anti aircraft gun that entered service in 1940. It was built at the Kalinin Artillery Plant with a total of 4,860 produced. It was designed to counter the threat of faster low flying aircraft and they were generally placed to defend key target areas such as ammunition stores, supply yards, train depots and airfields. The 72-K was crewed by 6 and capable of a rate of fire of 240rpm and an maximum range of 2,400m.
