T-60 Light Tank

The T-60 was produced between 1941 and 1942 as a light scout tank to replace the largely obsolete T-38. Initially designed to mount a 12.7mm machine gun, the main gun was later upgraded to the 20mm TNSh cannon. It could penetrate 15mm armour at 500m but was little match against the newer up-armoured German tanks. Further re-design led to the mounting of the 45mm tank gun in a modified turret with the gun on the right hand side and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun added.
