Dampflokomotive Br86

The Br86 was designed in late 1925 and had an axle load of 15 tons and was designed to be used on all branch lines especially hilly and mountainous countryside. The first Br86 were produced in 1928 and the last in 1943 with 776 built - the longest production run of any locomotive. Br86 saw service in Austria, Poland and the Soviet Union. After WWII the Czechoslovak State Railway operated 65 Br86 that had been seized at the end of the war. These were run until the 1960s.
