Type 95 Ha-Go Light Tank

Designed in 1935 and developed by Misubishi Heavy Industries, the Type 95 Ha-Go was a 7.4 tonne light tank with a crew of 3 - a commander, driver and hull machine gunner. Most Ha-Go were armed with a 37mm Type 98 gun which fired both armour piercing and high explosive. The Ha-Go proved effective against infantry and other light tanks but was inadequate against heavier tanks. As a result they were largely obsolete by 1941. Despite this, they remained in service against the Allies until 1945.
