Daimler Mk I 'SOD' Turretless Command Vehicle

The Daimler armoured car replaced the British Humber and was used extensively in the North Western Europe campain in 1944. Its design was a larger version of the Dingo. Normally it was armed with the British QF 2 pounder and a coaxial 7.92 Besa Machine gun. However, the SOD, Sawn Off Daimler, was a turretless Regimental command car used in 1944-45 to make up for a lack of available scout cars.
