T-18 (MS-1) Model 1927 Russian Light Tank

The T-18, also known as the MS-1, was the first Russian tank produced between 1928 and 1931 and based on the Renault FT-17. It was armed with the French 37mm Model 28 gun, a copy of the French Puteaux SA18, had a crew of 2 and weighed 5.9 tonnes. Testing of the T-18 took place in 1927 with 108 orderded in 1928 and produced in Lenningrad. T-18 served against Manchurian forces in 1929 but by 1932 had been removed from service to be used as training vehicles.
