38M Toldi I Light Tank

The Hugarian 38M Toldi light tank was based on the 20mm armed Swedish L-60 light tank design by AB Lansdverk. It was named after a 14th Century Hungarian knight, Mikl�s Toldi. The Toldi was produced between 1939 and 1942 with 202 built in four variants. The Toldi I was the first variant and was armed with a 20mm gun. Eight Toldi I were produced. They entered service in 1940 and fought against Yugoslavian forces in 1941. Between 1941 and 1944 they fought against Russian forces.
