Marmon Herrington Mk I Armoured Car

Developed by the South African army prior to WWII, the Marmon Herrington was based on a Ford 3 ton truck chassis with Marmon Herrington driven front axle. It was produced in a number of variants. The Mk I entered service with the British in 1940 and was armed with a single 0.303 Vickers machine gun in a round turret with another mounted in a ball mount on the left side of the hull. It served against Italian forces in the Western Desert. In total 113 Mk I were built.
