Humber MkIV Armoured Car

The Humber was one of the most widely produced British Armoured cars of WWII. Produced by the Rootes Group (Karrier) and based on the Karrier KT 4 artillery tractor with the armoured body of the Guy armoured car. The Mk IV saw the 15mm BESA replaced with a 37mm M5 or M6 gun around 1942. The larger gun required the removal of the fourth crew man (wireless operator) introduced with the Mk III and the turret hatches were redesigned with a new crew layout. Around 2,000 Mk IV were built.
