GAZ-42 Cargo Truck

Based on the Russian GAZ-AA truck, the GAZ-42 was built between 1939 and 1946 with 33,840 built. Unlike the GAZ-AA, the GAZ-42 was powered by a gas generator that used firewood or coal to produce the gas to power the engine. This resulted in the GAZ-42 having both low power and low speed generating only 30hp and 50kph top speed. It had a range of 80km on one charge of firewood.
