leFH18 105mm Howitzer & Crew

The le FH18 and later 18M were the mainstay of the German field artillery. Design began in 1928 at Rheinmetal. The howitzer entered service in 1930 and was named "105mm light howitzer model 1918" in an attempt to disguise it as a product of WWI and hide the secret weapons development banned by the Versailles Treaty. Mass production began in 1935 with over 4,000 guns produced.
