Armoured Reconnaissance Train Le.Sp

The German Le.Sp reconnaissance armoured railroad car was built in 1943 and designed to operate either on their own or linked together as a train. The Reconnaissance cars were armed with four light machine guns and crewed by 6 men. The armour was 14.5mm thick and they could weigh up to 8 tons achieving speeds of 70 km/hour. The Le.Sp were used to guard railroads in South Serbia, Macedonia, and Greece. The Armoured Train in this kit is made up of 10 identical Le.Sp cars.
