The Cannone da 65/17 modello 13 was a 1913 designed 65mm gun used by both mountain and infantry units. Its short barrel (17 calibres) allowed it to fire low trajectory shots and its lightweight design allowed for it to be broken down into 5 parts for transportation. By WWII these guns were fitted to trucks such as the Morris 15cwt truck which served in the North African campaign.
