The Panzer III served with distinction during the Blitzkreig of 1939 and 1940, through the North African desert and across the Russian Steppes during Barbarossa. The Ausf J in particular served in North Africa and the Eastern Front Upgunned with the longer barrel 5.0cm KwK/39 L/60 gun the Ausf J/1 was effective against British Valentine and Grant tanks but still no match for the Russian KV-1 or T-34. This kit depicts a J/1 with wider winter tracks.
