Artillerie Schlepper T-70(r)

The T-70 was a Russian light tank that appeared in 1942 based on the same chassis as the T-40. Armed with only a 45mm gun, many T-70 were lost to the advancing German army. By removing the turret, the Germans employed these converted T-70 into artillery tractors which were used for towing guns such as the 75mm Pak40. Being fully tracked they had improved cross country performance when compared with traditional half track gun tractors.
