Curtis P-40E Kittyhawk

The Curtiss P-40 was an American fighter and ground attack aircraft that entrered service in 1938. The P-40 was used by 28 nations remaing in frontline service until the end of WWII. By November 1944 when production ended, 13,738 had been produced. The P-40 served in North Africa, Southwest Pacific and China. RAF 112 Squadron was the first to paint the sharks mouth design on the plane although this was made more famous by the Flying Tigers in China. The P-40 was armed 6 0.5cal M2 Browning MGs.
