AEC Matador & 5.5" Gun

Built by the Associated Equipment Company for British and Commonwealth Forces in WWII, the AEC Matador had a 10 ton capacity and was generally used for towing the 7.2", 5.5", 4.5" Howitzers as well as occasionally towing the British 25 Pounder. The mainstay of the Royal Artillery, the 5.5" Howitzer saw service on all fronts during WWII from the desert battles in North Africa to the Normandy Beaches and into Germany itself.
